Carmen Müller - Berliner Zimmer

22 May - 22 June 1996

The works bear the title Berlin Room, and refer to the city in which they were made, where the artist had a studio for several months. The impulse for Müller's work always stems from her surroundings, and from the things she chances to meet within them, and this accounts for the importance of the new atelier in which she found herself, and for the effect it left on her drawings. They document her confrontation with a space, the terms on which she experienced it, the things she found in it, or introduced into it.
